I graduated with a Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering in July 1987 with a First Class Honours and a Master degree in Electrical Engineering with a grade of B+ in October 1991 from University of Ilorin, Nigeria. I finished my PhD degree in Computer Science with a grade of Very Good in December 2001 from University of Duisburg-Essen, Germany.

I am a Research Associate at the Particle Physics Group of the School of Physics & Astronomy, The University of Manchester,Manchester, England, UK since June 2005 working on Grid Security project funded by GridPP and PPARC.

Before I moved to The University of Manchester, I have worked as a Research Scientist at the University of Duisburg-Essen, German after completing my PhD degree. During the period of my career at the University of Duisburg-Essen, I was involved in various interdisciplinary projects, teaching of Internet Technologies for Engineers and supervision of Diploma/Master student research projects. I also worked briefly as Research Assistant at Technical University Aachen, Germany before I moved to University of Duisburg-Essen for my PhD research work.

I worked for more than 6 years (1989 - 1996) in various capacities (Junior Research Fellow, Lecturer II, Lecturer I, Acting Head of Department/Coordinator, Departmental examination officer etc.) at two different universities in Nigeria before I won a German scholarship to pursue my PhD degree in Germany.

A member of The Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers (IEEE), a member of IEEE Computer Society, a member of Nigerian Society of Engineers and a Registered Engineer with the Council of Registered Engineers of Nigeria.

My research interests are in the areas of Energy Market Deregulation and Intelligent Distributed Power System, Information Systems, Object Oriented Technology, Distributed Systems, Computing Grid, Web Services and Service Oriented Architecture.
