My current work involves lepton-hadron colliders, specifically designing the interaction region (IR) of the proposed LHeC e-p collider at CERN.
I am also working on the High Luminosity LHC upgrade project, working with the new ATS optics scheme in the interaction regions.
Previously I have worked on top quark coupling at DZero.
The Large Hadron electron Collider is a new project to utilise the LHC in a novel way. Given the huge energies and luminosities available, it is proposed to collide one LHC beam with a relatively low-energy electron beam, to yield TeV-scale e-p and e-A collisions.
In my spare time, I've written, directed and generally post-produced a feature length zombie film set at the LHC, called Decay. It's set to be released soon online for free, under a Creative Commons license.
